I made my way by camper van to Vernazza in the Cinque Terre area of Italy. What I didn’t realise was that the road leading down to the village was extremely steep. So steep that by the time I reached the village the brakes were hardly working. 

The village was wonderful to paint. I would have preferred to have had a longer time there.
